2024 Edition

Cinema

Guided by a young director, participants examined the issue of fake news. To raise awareness, they created a documentary-style short film based entirely on a fake story, exploring the dynamics of disinformation and its social impact. This project encouraged deep reflection on truth in media and the consequences of distorted information.
Music

Participants created two original songs, one in Italian and one in English—both aired on the radio. They explored music through art forms like painting and, under the guidance of a young singer-songwriter, learned all stages of the creative process, from recording to release, gaining valuable experience in music production.
Fashion

Again focusing on upcycling, participants gave new life to fabrics from the Locarno Film Festival and personal garments. They studied sustainable fashion practices and turned existing materials into bold, innovative pieces. The workshop concluded with a fashion show, proudly presenting their work and showcasing their creativity and commitment to sustainability.
Artistic Expression

Each participant undertook a personal journey to explore their emotions and identify a meaningful message to express through art. These messages were then turned into artistic videos, offering a visual and creative representation of their inner experiences and reflections. The result was a collection of unique works that captured and communicated their individuality in innovative and profound ways.

2023 Edition

Cinema

Under the guidance of an experienced artist, participants explored the Japanese poetic system of haiku to create an evocative short film. This artistic journey allowed them to turn the visual poetry of haiku into an original and expressive cinematic work, blending creativity and tradition in a new form of storytelling.
Music

With the support of a young singer-songwriter, participants explored every phase of the music-making process—from development and recording to release. They gained practical knowledge of music production and learned how to turn their ideas into real projects.
Fashion

Participants once again embraced upcycling, transforming Locarno Film Festival fabrics and personal clothing into unique creations. The experience culminated in a fashion show on the red carpet and a final presentation in Piazza Grande.
Robotics

This workshop gave participants the chance to explore how new technologies affect daily life and inspire the future. They reflected on and directly experimented with human-machine interactions, discovering the potential and challenges of emerging tech.

2022 Edition

Cinema

In contact with filmmakers at the Festival, participants were inspired by their stories and experiences. They applied what they learned to create their first stop-motion short film, transforming insights and techniques into an original, personal cinematic piece.
Music

Innovation and environmental themes came together to create the first soundtrack of the Atelier du Futur. Guided by a young singer-songwriter, participants wrote a song and produced a music video, blending creativity with a commitment to sustainability. The song was even played on the radio!
Fashion

This workshop explored the importance of upcycling. Participants didn’t just recycle—they gave new life to old fabrics from the Locarno Film Festival and personal clothing items. They discovered the ethical and aesthetic value of mindful, sustainable fashion and learned how to turn existing materials into unique and innovative creations.

The goal was to raise awareness of natural resources that enrich our diet and to promote cooking practices that respect and value the environment.
